What we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 29 September 2026.
01Who we are
Launch Control India runs the Launch Control motorsport events and this website. For your personal data we are the “data fiduciary” under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Launch Control India (GSTIN 07AALFL0085B1ZL), 1009-1011, 10th Floor, DLF Tower B, Plot No. 11, Jasola District Centre, Jasola Vihar, New Delhi, Delhi 110025. Questions or requests: contact@launchcontrolindia.com.
02What we collect, and why
When you apply on the waitlist
Name, email, phone, Instagram handle, your car (name, category, power, modifications) and a photo of each car. Your internet address and browser type.
Why: to review your application and contact you about the event. The internet address and browser are kept to stop spam and fake applications.
The automated check of your car photo
Your car photo is sent to Google's Gemini AI, which estimates the model and its stock power.
Why: to help the team review applications quickly. It only advises: a person makes every decision.
Your entrant account
Sign-in email, name, phone, city and state, profile photo, bio and tagline, Instagram handle, your cars and their photos.
Why: to run your entry and your entrant profile.
Safety at the track
The waiver you sign (the name you type, date, place and internet address), an emergency contact's name and phone, and your blood group.
Why: to keep a record of the waiver, and so marshals and medics can act in an emergency.
Payments and invoices
Billing name, address, PIN code and GSTIN if you give one; payment references and any payment screenshot you upload. Card and UPI details go to Razorpay: we never see or store them.
Why: to take payment and issue GST tax invoices, which the law requires.
Passes and the gate
Names of guests you add, pass QR codes, and when each pass was scanned at the gate.
Why: to let the right people in and keep the venue safe.
Results and event photos
Your timing results, car number, and photos or video taken at the event.
Why: to publish results and cover the event.
Visits to this website
Pages visited, where you came from, campaign tags, country and device type. No tracking cookies: visits are counted with an anonymous code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you.
Why: to understand how many people visit and from where.
Security
Sign-in attempts (email and internet address), kept for 24 hours, and a record of changes made to accounts and entries.
Why: to stop break-ins and to be able to see who changed what.
03What is public, and what never is
Public: your name, your cars and their photos, your entrant code, your car number at an event, your results, and event photos you appear in.
Never public: your email, phone, address, GSTIN, blood group, emergency contact, waiver, payments and invoices.
If you would rather not appear in event photos, tell us and we will take you out of the public gallery.
04Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share only what each service needs to do its job for us:
- Supabase: our database and sign-in (stored in Mumbai, India).
- Vercel: hosts this website.
- Cloudinary: stores photos you upload.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Razorpay: takes online payments.
- Google (Gemini): the automated car photo check.
- Our official timing partner: names and car numbers, to produce results.
We also share data when the law requires it, or with the circuit, marshals and medical teams in an emergency. Some of these services may process data outside India.
05How long we keep it
- Your account and entries: while your account is open, and 3 years after your last event, so your history stays with you.
- Waitlist applications that do not become an entry: 12 months.
- Invoices and payment records: as long as Indian tax law requires (at least six years under GST law).
- Signed waivers: 3 years after the event.
- Sign-in attempts: 24 hours.
06Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with;
- correct or update it (most of it you can change yourself in your console);
- ask us to erase it, except what the law makes us keep, such as invoices;
- withdraw a consent you gave, for the future;
- name someone to act for you if you die or cannot act yourself;
- complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India.
Email contact@launchcontrolindia.com. We reply within 30 days.
Grievance Officer: Vidit Jain, contact@launchcontrolindia.com, +91 98110 42452.
07Age
Entrants must be at least 18 years old. Anyone under 18 attending needs a parent or guardian, who gives consent for them.
08How we protect it
Everything travels encrypted. Only the LC team can see private data, their accounts are protected with a second sign-in step, and changes are logged. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
09Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data, we update this page and its date, and tell entrants by email when the change matters to them.
